As the season changes, residents at Chetwynd House have been getting involved in helping choose what will appear on the menu over the coming autumn and winter months.
Recently, residents came together with members of staff to sample a selection of prospective new dishes, giving everyone the opportunity to try something different, share their thoughts and have a say in the food that will be served at the home.

Food is an important part of everyday life at Chetwynd House. Mealtimes provide an opportunity to enjoy freshly prepared dishes, spend time with others and choose foods that suit individual tastes and preferences. The recent tasting session was a chance to make sure residents' opinions remain at the heart of those choices.
Among the dishes being considered were warming baked dinners, nutritional snacks and autumnal carrot cake, giving residents a variety of flavours and textures to try. With our experienced chefs preparing the dishes, residents were able to discuss what they enjoyed, what they would change and which options they would particularly like to see included on the new menu.
Having a say in daily life is an important part of the experience at Chetwynd House. Residents are encouraged to express their preferences and take part in decisions that affect their routines, activities and the way they spend their time.
